In the same spirit as our public ledger, this page says plainly what we store about you. It is short because we store almost nothing.

There are no accounts

Football Charts has no sign-up, no login and no user profiles. The account and “My Picks” features were removed on 16 September 2026 and every account and pick stored under them was deleted; backups age out within 14 days.

If you use the API or request data

A free API key is tied to the email address you give us, and a data or academic-access request stores that address and the note you write. We use them to answer you and to deliver what you asked for. Transactional email goes through Resend, our delivery provider. We do not send marketing email. Write to the address below to have a key or request deleted.

If you just browse

We use Google Analytics to understand aggregate traffic. No account, no problem — nothing here identifies you.

If you use the API or MCP server without a key

The API and the MCP server (including from ChatGPT, Claude or other assistants) receive your request and your IP address. The IP address is used only to count requests against the free-tier limit and the counter expires within 48 hours; we keep daily totals, not who made them. We do not receive your conversation, only the request the assistant sends (for example, a league and a season).

Who receives data, and for how long we keep it

Hosting providers (Vercel, Render) process requests; Resend delivers transactional email; Google Analytics measures site traffic. We do not sell or share personal data with anyone else. API keys and the email address behind them are kept while the key is active and deleted on request; data and academic-access requests are kept so we can answer follow-ups, and deleted when you ask.
